about American war plans

Even if the risk of the current Iranian government is difficult to imagine a protest: it represents only a minority of the Iranian society that seems to have lost beyond the nuclear issue and martial rhetoric of their capital. There will be better days!

attack to protect the UN?

Iran refuses stubbornly to the nuclear dispute to comply with the requirements of the UN Security Council. The Bush administration could take this as grounds for war

In Berlin, there are still only increasing people that the Mitwirkung der Bundesrepublik an weiteren Sanktionen gegen Iran damit begründen, dass Amerika auf diese Weise in diplomatische Bemühungen eingebunden und Präsident Bush von einem Militärschlag gegen Teheran abgehalten worden wäre.

Helmult Schmidt on the Tibet conflict

In Time (21/2008) is an article by Helmut Schmidt appeared which deals with the Tibet conflict and its instrumentation:

Tibet as a touchstone

By Helmut Schmidt little respect as to one's Han-Chinese: Mao Zedong, founder of the PRC

Because China the Tibetan human rights" denied to the Western world has been experiencing eight weeks a wave of anti-Chinese protests and propaganda - from the Internet and CNN up to the Olympic torch relay and to some state offices in Western Europe. It is idealistic motives mixed with anti-communism and fear of the rising competition from China. Because of all violence sentencing Dalai Lama sympathy draws upon himself to overlook the west like to see the recent demonstrations in Tibet, the once in violence are passed, had run out of Lamaism monks and monasteries. You certainly know nothing of the long history.

have in fact neither the 1300 million people of China nor the three million inhabitants of Tibet ever known in history and present those human rights and that democracy, which have developed the Western cultures for over two hundred and fifty years, gradually - we Germans notabene only been around sixty years. Chinese history has known for thousands of years only absolute monarchy, obedience and authority, and the one established in 1949 by Mao Tse-tung Communist People's Republic has in any case no change of dictatorial form of government means.
Similarly, the small mountain nation of Tibet has always been ruled autocratic, but not by a prince or the nobility, but by priests and high priests. The Dalai Lama was as high priest of Lamaism sect also the temporal leader of Tibetans, the Panchen Lama as the chief priest of a different sect, however, had a higher clerical rank. Even at the end of World War II Tibet was a theocracy - just as before the church or state as it is now Iran.
